Visa with Reference (VDR)

This visa facility application is open to all foreign nationals who require a visa to enter Malaysia for the purpose of studying, working, or other purposes, subject to the approval of a Visa with Reference (VDR/eVDR) or Visa Approval Letter (eVAL), EXCEPT for the following countries which do not require a visa for any purpose of entry:

Travel documents that require a visa to enter Malaysia are as follows:

  • Laissez Passer
  • European Union Laissez-Passer (EULP)
    1. Administrative and technical staff who are assigned to the Office of the Delegation of the European Union in Malaysia
    2. Short-term officials or staff at the Office of the Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia who will be staying for more than 30 days but less than one year
  • Certificate of Identity
  • Titres De Voyages
  • US Re-entry Permit for Naturalization
  • Surat Perjalanan Laksana Pasport (SPLP)
  • Hong Kong (CI/DI)

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate

A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate must be presented upon arrival in Malaysia for travelers from countries at risk of yellow fever infection.
